Strategic Partnership for 100MW Wind Farm Development in Mustang

Siddathali Energy has entered into a strategic partnership with leading international wind energy developers to construct a groundbreaking 100MW wind farm in the Mustang district, marking our entry into large-scale wind power generation.

The proposed wind farm will have an initial capacity of 100MW, with potential for expansion to 200MW based on grid integration capabilities and wind resource availability. The project will utilize state-of-the-art wind turbine technology optimized for high-altitude operations.

Key aspects of the partnership include:

  • Technology transfer and local capacity building
  • Advanced wind resource assessment
  • Environmental and social impact planning
  • Grid integration and transmission planning
  • Local workforce development programs

Mustang district was selected after comprehensive wind resource studies identified exceptional wind speeds and consistent patterns suitable for utility-scale generation. The high-altitude location presents unique engineering challenges that our international partner has extensive experience addressing.

"This partnership brings world-class wind technology to Nepal while building local technical capabilities," commented our CEO. "Wind energy will complement our hydropower resources and contribute to energy security during dry seasons."

The project is expected to begin detailed development activities in 2024, with construction potentially starting in 2025. Environmental and social impact assessments are already underway in consultation with local communities.

Upon completion, the wind farm will be capable of generating approximately 400 GWh annually, equivalent to the electricity needs of about 300,000 households.
